PEI Certified Organic Producers Cooperative

On June 30 we had our first kitchen meeting / farm tour at Atlantic Grown Organics . It was a very informative evening with Marc and Krista explaining their system for growing, packaging and storing their crops.

We saw the beneficial insects that they use and how they keep them healthy, as well as how they prune tomatoes, and cucumbers in their operation.

Our first Kitchen meeting / farm tour will be at Marc Schurman’s Farm, Atlantic Grown Organics, in Springvalley. This will be on June 30th @ 6:30 PM. Come and get information on how he produces vegetables inside the greenhouse for most of the year. Check out the facebook page for Atlantic Grown Organics for more info on the family and their farm.

The Board met and reviewed the results of the report of our members input on the future direction of the PEI COPC carried out by Dynamic Outcomes.
