David and Edith Ling farmed organic livestock, grain and forage from 1985 until David’s death in 2013, although without certification. “Not a bag of chemical fertilizer or poisonous spray has been used on the farm since [1985].” In July 2015, Fair Acres was officially certified organic. These days Edith has scaled back her production.
