About us:

Emmerdale Eden Farm specializes in growing certified organic heirloom vegetables, as well as small fruit, herbs and seed. We are best known for our year round garlic sales and our wide variety of heirloom tomatoes and squash. We trial and grow a multitude of seed for the PEI Seed Alliance, which we sell at Summerside Farmers Market, along with Hope Seeds.  Tomato, pepper and herb seedlings available each spring. Visit us every Saturday 9am – 1pm at Summerside Farmers Market where we also sell Speerville Flour Mill products as well as “Cheese  Please” – local,  Canadian & International cheeses.

We were conventional dairy farmers in Stirling Ontario until we moved to the Island in 2004 and became certified organic a year later. Creating a sustainable, chemical-free habitat, rich in diversity, while providing safe healthful food for our family and community has been our mission.
Food security and seed sovereignty for our province and for Canada is our other major priority, as we seek out, trial and grow-out seed crops year after year to see which varieties best adapt to our Island’s unique climate. Through seed-saving (and educating new seed-savers) we can not only preserve our local food/seed heritage, but safeguard our food supply at the local level for future generations.
