The PEI Certified Organic Producers Co-operative offers a certification assistance rebate for fully certified or in-transition certified organic producers and processors. This rebate is offered in partnership with the PEI Department of Agriculture and the Government of Canada through the Sustainable Canadian Agricultural Partnership.
This rebate covers 75% of organic certification costs up to $750 annually.
Applicants must be resident of PEI and a member of the PEI Certified Organic Producers Cooperative (PEI COPC). For 2023, applications must be completed and submitted prior to February 28, 2024. Payment will be processed and issued on a first-come, first -served basis.
Supporting documents that must either accompany or follow the application form are as listed:
- Copy of 2023 Inspection Certificate
- Proof of Payment (canceled cheque or receipt from certifying body)
