16th Annual Organic Harvest Picnic
Date: Sunday, September 22
Time: 4:00pm-7:00pm
Location: The Legacy Garden (behind the PEI Farm Centre)

What is the Organic Harvest Picnic?
The Organic Harvest Picnic is an outdoor fundraiser dinner hosted annually by the PEI Certified Organic Producers Cooperative. Organic enthusiasts of all ages gather to enjoy a locally-sourced meal and a casual evening of music, games, prizes and more. All proceeds go directly to the PEI COPC.
The Caterers
The meal will be catered by Sam Bevan-Baker from the travelling pizzeria Fatta a Mano. The menu will feature gourmet pizzas baked in Fatta a Mano’s custom-built wood-fired oven.
Since starting up Fatta a Mano in 2018 with his brother, Alex, Sam has been committed to using only Island ingredients. For this year’s Organic Harvest Picnic, Sam will be using toppings sourced straight from our producers on his signature sourdough crusts.
Fun and Games
We will have a variety of lawn games–from croquet to potato sack races–scattered across the garden. We recommend that you wear comfortable shoes if you would like to join in. For those looking for something a little quieter, we will have board games set up inside the Farm Centre.
In keeping with tradition, we will once again be playing a game of trivia to test our guests’ knowledge about PEI’s organic sector. If you don’t win, a raffle and a silent auction will give you another chance to take home some prizes. We will also have some activities especially for kids, such as face painting and a scavenger hunt.
Bring your own mug
This year, we are aiming to make Organic Harvest Picnic a zero-waste event. All the napkins, plates, cutlery, and serving utensils that we will be using will be either compostable or reusable. We would like to ask our guests to help us achieve our goal by bringing their own cup, mug, or glass to the picnic.
