What we grow: Cereal Grains, Barley, Oats, Feed Wheat, Milling Wheat, Field Peas & Soybeans, Chicken, Eggs, Mixed Livestock Feed
Mark and Sally Bernard along with their four children Lucy, Wilson, Thayne and Sol; own and run Barnyard Organics, a certified organic grain and livestock farm in Freetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
“We believe in real food, and that putting soil health first leads to overall health for our crops, our animals and ultimately our customers”.
They grow soybeans, cereal grains, barley, oats, feed wheat, milling wheat, field peas as well as pasture raised chickens and eggs (in season June-October). The farm has a soybean roaster and CFIA approved feed mill; and, manufactures livestock feed under the East Coast Organic Feed brand, providing poultry starter, poultry grower, layer mash, hog grower, and roasted soybean.
Barnyard Organics is also the PEI distributor for Bio-Ag Products.
