The PEI COPC would like to welcome Shauna Barry as the New Director of Organic Sector Advancement.
Originally from Mahone Bay, Nova Scotia, Shauna moved to PEI in 2020 to work in the agriculture industry. She comes to us from another producer-driven association where she fostered strong member relationships and gained years of research experience. Shauna completed her undergraduate degree at Acadia University with a double major in Biology and Environmental Science. She then obtained a Master of Environmental Management from the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Shauna is an active member of the PEI Institute of Agrologists and sits on the Board of Directors for the Winter River – Tracadie Bay Watershed Association. Her passions include entomology and water quality.
In her free time you can find her out in the garden, tending her honeybee hives, cross stitching, or hanging out with her husband and their house bunny.
